CAPE COD LIFE FOOD & WINE FESTIVAL

Nearly 5OO foodies turned out for the Cape Cod Life Food & Wine Festival “Grand Tasting” at the Rectrix Aerodrome in Hyannis. TV Diner host Billy Costa served as emcee and the soiree included cooking demos, tastings from dozens of Cape restaurants and wineries, and live music. Proceeds benefited the Arts Foundation of Cape Cod and the Institute for Hospitality and Culinary Studies at Cape Cod Community College.

BOSTON RED SOX CHARITY WINE LAUNCH

Boston Red Sox players, Jason Varitek, Kevin Youkilis and David Ortiz were on-hand at the EMC Club at Fenway Park for the launch of Longball Cellars’ latest charity wines. Varitek’s “Captain’s Cabernet”, Youkilis’ “Sauvignyoouuk Blanc” and Ortiz’s “Vintage Papi” are now on shelves in wine stores across New England. Charity Wines, featuring almost 3O different professional athletes, has raised more than $1,OOO,OOO for player’s charities in less than one year since this program’s inception.
