PARTYING OPOSSUMS

OPOSSUMS, as it turns out, enjoy a drink . . . or three. Well, one intrepid opossum in particular that is. The thirsty marsupial made his way in to a Florida liquor store over Thanksgiving and managed to down an entire bottle of Cognac. A liquor store employee found the inebriated opossum in the store the day after Thanksgiving. It’s suspected the opossum came through the rafters and knocked the bottle of liquor off one of the shelves then proceeded to consume the entire thing. Amazingly, the animal wasn’t dead or even passed out but was certainly in need of medical care. It was taken to the Emerald Coast Wildlife Refuge for fluids. The refuge released the animal following a full recovery. Hopefully she’s learned her lesson about hard partying.
