THE VINOICE A VERY COOL WAY TO KEEP WINE CHILLED
When it comes to wine accessories, it seems as if there’s always a new gadget on the market that’s either fun or functional, but rarely both.  So when something comes along that not only works but is aesthetically pleasing, well we feel compelled to feature it as our Editor’s Pick!  As anyone who enjoys a nicely-chilled glass of vino can attest, when the bottle is left out for too long and the wine turns lukewarm, it’s downright horrible.  But with the holidays approaching, wine bottles will frequently be left out on counters and tables resulting in tepid wine.  The new VinOice is a 2-in-1 pourer and chiller designed to keep wine properly chilled in the bottle.  Just pop the stainless steel rod in the freezer about 3O to 45 minutes before use.  Chill your wine to a desired temperature and drop the rod with the sleek drip-free pourer attached into the bottle.  The wine will stay chilled for up to an hour.  It’s also useful for reds meant to be served at cooler temperatures.  In case you’re curious, the rod contains a food safe gel that is encased in stainless steel.  While this is a fun idea for holiday parties, it’s also good for soirees on warm summer nights.  Suggested retail is $28 for but if you like to keep a backup on ice, extra rods without the pourer are available for $22.  For more information go to info@corkpops.com.
