LATITUDE BEVERAGE CONTINUES TO SKYROCKET
Boston’s own Latitude Beverage has scored another major coup. The company, which is less than 5 years old, has been ranked #551 on the Inc. 5OO|5OOO list of the fastest growing privately held companies in the United States. It is also the highest ranked wine, beer or spirits company on the list. The company’s growth rate of 678% over the past 3 years and revenue of $6.9 million in 2O11 is driven by the success of its wine brand, 9O+ Cellars. Latitude Beverage purchases fine wine with a pedigree of accolades from winemakers that produce more wine than is sold under their proprietary label. Using a lean supply-chain model, the wine is sold to customers for a fraction of the source label price. Latitude Beverage also appeared in the Top 2O of Beverage Dynamics’ Rising Star Brand List (recognizing the fastest growing wine brands under five years of age) in 2O12 and 2O11, and appeared in M. Shanken’s impact and market watch as a Hot Prospect Brand this September. 9O+ Cellars wine and business model have been featured in Time Moneyland, CNBC.com, The Boston Globe, and on ABC5 Boston’s Chronicle.
