SAMUEL ADAMS SINGLE BATCH VERLOREN and NORSE LEGEND
 – These are the two latest additions to the limited-edition collection of Samuel Adams brewers’ favorites.  The Verloren is inspired by the nearly-lost gose style that starts with an unfiltered wheat base and is enhanced by a touch of salt for a mineral quality and coriander for a peppery nose.  It is deep golden in color with a fine haze and thick creamy white foam.  Based on an ancient Finnish sahti style, the Norse Legend is a rugged brew with rye and specialty aromatic malts for an earthy, spicy character.  It was aged on a bed of juniper berries for a fresh evergreen flavor.  With a history dating back to the Viking era, this style was traditionally home-brewed by women and fittingly, was the pet project of Samuel Adams brewer Jennifer Glanville.  Suggested retail is $5.99 for a 22-ounce bottle.  Available from Atlas Distributing, Burke Distributing, Commercial Distributing, L.Knife & Son, and Merrimack Valley Distributing.
