CLOONEY’S CASAMIGOS

George Clooney has quite the list of credits to his name: actor, philanthropist, activist . . . tequila owner. Clooney is joining the ranks of celebrities-turned-alcohol purveyors. However, Clooney isn’t taking the wine route like many of his fellow famous actors. Instead, he’s going for tequila. And, he’s teaming up with buddy Rande Gerber, husband of Cindy Crawford, to produce it. The tequila’s name, Casamigos, was inspired by their homes in Mexico, and is expected to be sold at “a reasonable price point”. Apparently, Casamigos is a tequila that Gerber and Clooney have been enjoying for years and now they’d like to distribute it. “I don’t think we’re going to be following all the rules,” Gerber commented. “We know we have a product we love and we drink, and other people will enjoy.” Little else is known about the tequila project but if the bottle has Clooney’s name (or likeness) anywhere on it, it’s going to fly off the shelves.
