A CHAMPAGNE FAIRY TALE
The Champagne Bureau has released its first collection of Champagne Fables. These stories and illustrations highlight the history richness of the Champagne region and its fabled wine. The titles include A Fable of Faith, A Fable of Courage, A Fable of Santé, A Fable of Victory, and The Fabled Wine. The Champagne Fables were developed with Champagne author Ed McCarthy as well as illustrator Christoph Niemann who created original sketches for each fable. His designs have been on the covers of the new yorker, newsweek, wired, the new york times magazine and american illustration. “Champagne is not only a legendary wine; it has a timeless history. The Fables were conceived as a fun way to share inspiring tales” said Sonia Smith, Director of the Champagne Bureau. “We celebrate the legend of Dom Pérignon, the marvellous women of Champagne, and some famous lovers of Champagne, such as Napoleon Bonaparte and Winston Churchill.” The collection can be viewed at champagnefables.com and people can vote for their favorite fable. Those who visit the site can share the fables with their social media networks.
