L. Knife & Son Receive Craft Beer Distributor Award

L. Knife & Son Companies based in Kingston has been honored with the 2O1O Craft Beer Distributor Recognition Award. Now in its fourth year, the award recognizes a beer distributor who goes above and beyond in its efforts to market, promote and sell craft beer. The National Beer Wholesalers Association (NBWA) and the Brewers Association (BA) presented the award jointly at the Great American Beer Festival in Denver, Colorado.
Embracing social and mobile media, the L. Knife & Son Companies utilize many online channels such as GreatBrewers.com, which offers hundreds of brewery bios and thousands of beer descriptions; provides food and beer pairing guidance, engages users in local events and new product releases, and more, as well as a mobile application: BeerCloud. Since its November 2OO9 launch, this iPhone and Android mobile app has been downloaded by more than 7O,OOO users and represents a major advance in craft beer education and awareness, with barcode scanning technology, a GPS beer finder and the ability to manage favorite beers, brewers and places to buy beer. “NBWA is proud to recognize L.
