The effort is composed of racy print ads supported by special events and tastings across the country, in-store and in-bar promotions, social media efforts via Facebook and Twitter, and a consumer contest for a chance to win a girls- night-in with Van Gogh Blue. Focused on the female consumer ages 25 to 44, the ads feature illustrated “pin-up” girls enjoying cocktails, and headlines like: “Better a dry spell in men than a drought of vodka,” and “It might be a man’s world but we certainly call the shots.”
