Made exclusively from Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, this young wine was aged in small French and American oak barrels for 28 months to gain additional nuance and finesse.  Lush, forward black currant and blackberry aromas gain complexity from notes of eucalyptus and black tea.  Black currant and blackberry also dominate the flavors, along with spice and herb accents.  Soft tannins contribute to a uniquely silky, elegant mouthfeel.  Polished and superbly balanced, this Cabernet culminates in a smooth, lingering finish.  Suggested retail is $24.  Available from Horizon Beverage Company.
