KENWOOD 2OO9 VINTAGE WHITE and 2OO8 VINTAGE RED
This Vintage White brings together Sauvignon Blanc with a significant percentage of barrel-fermented Chardonnay and a touch of Muscat.  The nose melds fresh honeysuckle, white peach and honeydew aromas with a dash of vanilla.  White peach and honeydew also dominate the light flavors.  A hint of sweetness on the palate is balanced by generous acidity, resulting in a long, crisp finish.  The Vintage Red, which blends Zinfandel with small amounts of Petite Sirah, Merlot and Sangiovese, has aromas of fresh raspberry and strawberry accented by subtle white pepper and tar complexity.  The flavors are bright and forward: raspberry and thimbleberry, with a hint of baking spices in the background.  Both wines have a suggested retail of $9 and are available from Horizon Beverage Company.
