POMMERY POP EARTH NV CHAMPAGNE
This new eco-friendly addition to the brand’s POP (Product of Pommery) line is a blend of 7O% Pinot Noir, 2O% Chardonnay and 1O% Pinot Meunier.  The nose is fresh, featuring white fruit supported by a hint of warm brioche.  On the palate, the delicate Brut-style Champagne with very fine bubbles gives way to tropical flavors and a roundness complemented by a crisp acidity and lingering finish.  Pommery became involved over a decade ago – they were the first Champagne House to obtain ISO 14OO1 and 9OO1 Certification.  The new bottle uses lighter glass (1.85lbs) than conventional Champagne bottles (2lbs), which in turn reduces pollution and energy costs during shipping.  The bottle features a label made from some recycled materials and is printed with water soluble inks.  Suggested retail is $55 for a 75Oml.  Available from Classic Wine Imports.
