Pernod Absinthe has unveiled an enhanced label, gift box with a specially designed absinthe spoon and new six-pack shipper.  The clean, new label is easier to read and is more in line with absinthe category packaging.  The new gift box includes the absinthe spoon, which replicates the design used by absinthe aficionados back in the 19th century.  Pernod was reintroduced to the US market in 2OO8 when restrictions on the sale of absinthe were lifted.  Based on the original recipe from 18O5, the 136 proof spirit is distilled from three primary ingredients – Grande Wormwood, Fennel and Star Anis, giving it a light green hue and a flavor that is dominantly anis, balanced with wormwood and a citrusy finish.  Available from United Liquors.
