CHIVAS BROTHERS ROYAL SALUTE 38 STONE of DESTINY WHISKY
CHIVAS BROTHERS ROYAL SALUTE 38 STONE of DESTINY WHISKY
Named for the coronation stone of Scotland’s monarchs, this new release from Chivas Brothers is a tribute to HM Queen Elizabeth II. During her regal coronation ceremony in 1953, the stone was placed to rest beneath her coronation chair. The blend is a marriage of Scotch whiskies, each aged for a minimum of 38 years. Its full robust flavor has cedar-wood and crushed almond characters finished with a sherried oakiness. The smooth taste hints of dried fruit followed by an aggressive spiciness. The whisky is packaged in a handcrafted porcelain flagon, adorned with granite-effect. Every bottle is crowned with a 24-carat gold-plated stopper inspired by the hilts of ancient Scottish swords – every front bearing a handcrafted gold-finished coat-of-arms – and is presented in a red and glossy black box. Suggested retail is $6OO for a 75Oml. Available from United Liquors.
