Dewar’s Callaway Longest Drive Charity Competition
Nearly two dozen Boston charities including the Boston Firefighters Burn Foundation Massachusetts SPCA, Greater Boston Food Bank, and American Red Cross of Massachusetts Bay, braved the rain on a Monday evening in late June to compete in Dewar’s Callaway Longest Drive Charity Competition. Winner Jonothan Nahas, who drove the ball 33O yards in the wind and rain, received a $5OOO check to the charity of his choice, The Jimmy Fund, along with a new Diablo driver from Callaway and a bottle of Dewar’s 18 Founder’s Reserve. Close contenders in the longest drive included Matt Leisman and former Celtics star Dana Barros, who tied with 326 yards.
