WINE FOUNDATION ANNOUNCES SCHOLARSHIPS

ORGANIZED TO PROVIDE RESOURCES to meet the needs of the wine industry, the Washington Wine Industry Foundation this year offers three sets of scholarships for students totalling more than $1O,OOO.
horse heaven hills wine growers scholarship The Horse Heaven Hills Wine Growers Scholarship will offer $15OO to a student pursuing viticulture and/or enology. This scholarship is available to high school graduates planning to enroll in a Washington state college or university or in the WSU two-year Viticulture/Enology Certification Program. Selection will be based on academic merit, leadership abilities and interest in the study of enology and/or viticulture.
walter j. clore scholarship Established in 1997 by the Washington Association of Wine Grape Growers, the Walter J. Clore scholarship honors Clore’s lifetime achievements and grape research in the field of viticulture and enology. This scholarship awards between $5OO and $2OOO to students pursuing a degree in viticulture and/or enology. Selection is based on merit, leadership.
john farmer scholarship The John Farmer Scholarship was established by family and friends in honor of John’s lifetime achievements as a grower. This fund will award scholarships from $5OO to $2OOO to students interested in viticulture or enology with preference given to those with financial need.
