THE MASTERS OF WINE CLASS OF 2O16

CONGRATULATIONS to the class of 2O16! The Institute of Masters of Wine has welcomed five new members into its organization. They are: Ivan Barbic of Switzerland, a wine buyer; Jan Schwarzenbach of Switzerland, a wine buyer; Lenka Sedlackova of the Czech Republic, a marketing manager; Eran Pick of Israel, a winemaker; and Stephen Wong of Malaysia/New Zealand, the owner of a hospitality training business. Following last year’s record crop of new MWs, the number worldwide now totals 345. The Masters of Wine Examination consists of three stages, including Theory and Practical Exams, and culminates in the submission of a final research paper, an in-depth study on a wine-related topic from any area of the sciences, arts, humanities, or social sciences.
