PUBLICK HOUSE GOES RETAIL

There’s a new beer shop on the block. Publick House Provisions, a new gourmet grocery from the owners of renowned The Publick House in Brookline was scheduled to open its doors on March 1, just one block from the beer bar-kitchen. All of the beers sold at The Publick House – including over 1OO Belgian brews – will be available for purchase at Publick House Provisions. Continuing in The Publick House tradition of pairing craft beer and fine food, a large selection of hand-picked specialty foods will also be available. Specializing in local and imported artisan cheeses and Belgian chocolates, Publick House Provisions will offer everything from sauces, marinades, oils, vinegars, honeys and preserves to organic milk, fresh local breads, meats, pates, hot sauces and spices. Additionally, fans of The Publick House’s attention to proper glassware will be able to purchase glassware from a selection of over 2OOO items – from the basics to highly collectible stemware, and plenty of other breweriana that’s been accumulated over the years.
“If the shop is open, something delicious will always be available to sample, “said owner David Ciccolo, who plans on conducting tasting opportunities at Publick House Provisions, starting with weekly beer and food pairings.
